Although people had recommended to me their previous releases, and although I’d had their name on my list of bands to check out, I didn’t become acquainted with their music until January 2004 when their eponymous album was released in
France.
I fell under the spell of their music at first listen and I’ve been captivated since then. I am fascinated by the high quality and richness of their work, the impeccable production, the top-notch arrangements, the magic of Dan’s voice, the infectious melodies, the interesting lyrics, and now that I’ve seen the band play live and met them a few times, their tight performances, Dan’s original stage presence, and the kindness of the people themselves. I’ve now acquired nearly all of The Servant’s commercial releases and I spend lots of my spare time listening to their music. Enjoy this site.
